  6.      I did not vote for Bill Clinton. I would never vote for any
  7.      polititian who would not uphold our right to freedom of speech.
  8.      My name is Jennifer and I am a 31 year old mother of a 2 year old
  9.      and a 5 year old. We live in Waverly, NY. I feel it is up to the
  10.      parents to monitor their children on how they use the internet.
  11.      Let the polititians monitor their own children. There are
  12.      features available to limit children's use...so parents should
  13.      use them.

  15.      Recently in the news, the internet was blamed for some children
  16.      learning how to build a bomb. Well, pick up any advanced physics
  17.      text book in the library and you can find the mechanics of bomb
  18.      making, even encyclopedias and dictionaries can give
  19.      explaination. My point is...what kind of parent raised these
  20.      children to be interested in doing something of this nature? If
  21.      these children were serious enough, they could have found out
  22.      through many types of media...so why blame the internet?

  24.      Another area being attacked as terrible misuse of the internet is
  25.      cybersex. Everyone can experience unpleasant conversation,
  26.      whether in a chat room on AOL, a local bar, or in the grocery
  27.      store. It's how people deal with these unpleasantries that
  28.      matters. I was raised to ignore unpleasant conversation. I raise
  29.      my children do the same. You can be in a lobby in an AOL chatroom
  30.      and mention that your female and suddenly get bobbarded with IMs
  31.      for cybersex. What do you do? Just ignore them, go to another
  32.      room, whatever it takes. I know someday my children will
  33.      experiment. Big deal, it can't hurt them. I'll just do my best as
  34.      a parent to prevent them from wanting to do it. If they start
  35.      banning more of the internet, who knows where they'll stop.
